Active Communities Parks Program

Glen Eira City Council's Active Parks program is back again this year to offer the community free group fitness classes at local parks throughout Glen Eira.

The Active Parks program was created to give the community the opportunity to get active outdoors by participating in quality group fitness classes and outdoor training programs. Suitable for people of all ages and levels of fitness, these training sessions are friendly, active and energising, making the most out of the refreshing outdoor setting.

This initiative is a free program that will run from October 22 for six weeks and offers a broad range of free weekly physical activity classes held in the beautiful parks of Glen Eira.

Sessions include:

  • Family Yoga, 6pm Tuesday (60 minute sessions)
    Princes Park (meet in CRC foyer) 6 Maple Street, Caulfield
    Six weeks commencing Tuesday 22 October
  • Tai Chi, 11am Wednesday (45 minute sessions)
    Packer Park, 120 Leila Road, Carnegie 
    Six weeks commencing Wednesday 23 October
  • Active Paws Dog Walk*, 8.30am Saturday(60 minute sessions)
    Caulfield Park Pavilion, 280 Balaclava Road, Caulfield North (corner Hawthorn and Balaclava Roads)
    Six weeks commencing Saturday 26 October
