Nervous About Your Little Ones First Splash?
We’ve Got You Covered!
These free swim safety lessons are a gentle and fun way to introduce your little ones to the water in a safe, welcoming environment.
Led by our experienced instructors, each 30-minute session is carefully designed to help your child gain water confidence and learn vital safety skills.
When?
- Tuesdays from 22 July 2025, for 8 weeks
- Two sessions per day:
- 11:00am – for 12–18 months
- 11:30am – for 18–24 months
Who?
- Children aged 12 to 24 months
- Don’t forget your swimwear – a parent or guardian will need to be in the water with them during these lessons.
- 10 spots only per session – register now before spots fill up!
Where?
- Carnegie Memorial Swimming Pool (Koornang Park, Moira Ave, Carnegie VIC 3163)
What Will Your Child Learn?
- Safe entries and exits (sliding in, grabbing the wall, climbing out)
- Water safety rules – like waiting for an adult before entering
- Comfort in the water (including getting their face wet)
- Basic floating techniques
- Grabbing flotation devices (kickboards, noodles, mats)
- For older toddlers – spotting a lifeguard or identifying safe adults
