50M Pool opening details

We are excited to announce our GESAC 50M Pool will reopen at 5.45am tomorrow Friday 11 June. There are a few things we need to ensure everyone is aware of before we open our doors:

50m Pool resurfacing works

The outdoor pool at GESAC will close for these repairs from 17 June 2021 until 26 July 2021. All other aquatic facilities will be open in the indoor pool hall to accommodate our 50 metre pool swimmers as much as possible.

We are significantly increasing our programs and services available for members and guests from Monday 23 November. This includes:

Caulfield Recreation Centre re-opening

Great news, Caulfield Recreation Centre (CRC) opens Monday 16 November. In line with the State Government’s announcements there are very strict capacity limits. Initially, CRC will open with gym sessions available in 45-minute blocks. Online bookings are essential for all visits. Bookings open three days in advance at 9am, with initial bookings opening Friday 13 November at 9am. Please arrive 5mins before your session start time. Late entries will not be allowed access to the session.

Wellness & 25m pool openings

We are very excited to expand our service offerings to include the GESAC Wellness Pool and 25m indoor Pool from Wednesday 11 November.  Due to current COVID-19 restrictions online bookings are required for all visits. Bookings will open 7 days in advance at 9am and the initial bookings open Tuesday 10 November at 9am.

GESAC GYM AND INDOOR GROUP FITNESS CLASSES OPENING

Thank you to our wonderful GEL community for your support during the difficult COVID-19 closure period.We are very happy to announce the gym and indoor group fitness at GESAC will reopen Monday 9 November.  In line with the State Government’s announcements there are very strict capacity limits with a maximum of 10 people per space plus an instructor.

GELFresco - undercover outdoor training at GESAC

We are very excited to be able to announce the opening of our three Glen Eira Leisure Sites. As these announcements have been made by the State Government with capacity restrictions, we will be opening our sites in stages to allow for staff to regain their qualifications and COVID safe practices to be established to adhere to these new COVID-19 requirements. To help train outdoors, two dedicated outdoor undercover areas will be set up in front of GESAC called GELFresco. The classes will commence Wednesday 4 November with a maximum of 10 participants per session, plus the instructor.
