Here's your guide to stadium availability at Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre (GESAC). Find out when the stadium courts can be used for casual shooting or bookings.
Stadium Availability
Stadium bookings
GESAC is home to a state of the art stadium with three FIBA regulation size basketball courts.
Individuals, organisations, and sporting teams can hire these courts to play a variety of sports, including:
- Basketball
- Netball
- Futsal
- Pickleball
- Badminton
Casual Shooting
Casual shooting practice for basketball is available any time the courts are unoccupied.
There is no need to book for casual shooting, simply check our stadium availability below and come on in.
A $7.10 casual shooting fee applies for each casual shooting participant. Alternatively, you can sign up for our Stadium Membership and access our stadium as often as you like for only $8.95 per week. To sign up, submit a member enquiry or speak to our friendly staff at reception.
Please note that pick-up games are not allowed when casual shooting - it is for shooting practice only. To play a pick-up game, you will need to make a booking.
Make a Booking Request
Our courts are available for hire 7 days a week, subject to stadium availability. See below for equipment inclusions.
To make a booking request, please fill in our booking form. Please note that we require a minimum notice period of 1 hour for stadium hire requests.

Maximum notice period for one-time bookings is two weeks. For recurring bookings, please email stadium@geleisure.com.au.

Changes to bookings cannot be made within 3 hours of booking start time.
To cancel a court booking, customers must provide 3 hours' notice to be eligible for a refund.
Customers who provide less than 3 hours' notice for a court booking cancellation are not eligible for a refund.
Equipment
Depending on the purpose of your booking, we provide a variety of equipment inclusions:
Balls
There is a limited number of basketballs, netballs and futsal balls available to be borrowed from reception.
Due to limited availability, we recommend you bring your own.
Goals
We will provide the goals for netball, futsal and basketball bookings.
We will arrange to have these set up before your booking time commences.
Pickleball and Badminton
We provide all equipment when you book to play badminton or pickleball. This includes nets, racquets and balls. You are also welcome to bring your own.
We will arrange to have the courts set up before your booking time commences.
Scoreboard and Shot Clock
Use of the scoreboards is automatically included in any full court hire, and can be requested for half court hire.
We have a shot clock which can be provided upon request.

- Casual users must purchase a Stadium Band at reception for casual shooting access $7.10.
- GEL members must collect a Stadium Band from reception for casual shooting access.
- Stadium bands must be visible and worn around the wrist or ankle

- Notwithstanding any other provision of these conditions of use and regardless of whether a booking confirmation had been issued, Council expressly reserves the right to cancel any booking at any time without giving any reason or to refuse to accept any hire of the venue in which case, a full refund of all monies paid will be made.
